^Lot 1394 Muzzle-Loading Percussion Side-by-Side Shotgun

Muzzle-Loading Percussion Side-by-Side Shotgun, marked Bond, NVSN, 10 ga., 29.5'' barrels, no finish remains, with double triggers. Shotgun features a checkered, straight grip, halfstock with smooth steel buttplate. Barrel with a silver bead front sight. Missing ramrod. Hammers, locks, upper and lower tang, triggerguard, and forend cap with light scroll engraving. Locks are marked ''Bond''; barrel rib reads ''Bond London Fine Laminated Steel''. Overall this shotgun is in fair antique condition. Metal has toned mostly dark with some silvery gray highlights. Engraving and maker's marks are mostly clear. Stock with numerous dings and mars. Wrist and underside in front of triggerguard with a hairline crack; forend with several chips and missing slivers along the underside of barrel. Good action; dark bore. Est.: $150-$250. (Antique)
